Your choice about advertising cookies
When you first visit, we ask whether you are happy for us to use Meta (Facebook) advertising cookies. Nothing is sent to Meta unless you choose Accept. If you choose Reject, or simply ignore the question, no Meta cookie is set and nothing is sent to Meta. Booking, contacting us and everything else on the site work the same either way.
Your answer is saved in your own browser so we do not ask on every page. We ask again after twelve months, or if you clear your browser data.
If you accept: Meta Pixel
We use the Meta Pixel to understand whether our advertising on Facebook and Instagram reaches people who go on to look at our rooms or get in touch. With your consent, it tells Meta when you:
- view a page on this website
- look through the photos of one of our rooms (the room’s name is included)
- start filling in the enquiry form, and when an enquiry is successfully sent
- tap our WhatsApp, phone or email links
We never send Meta your name, email address, phone number, travel dates, messages or anything else you type into the enquiry form. Meta’s script sets a cookie called _fbp (and _fbc if you arrived by clicking one of our ads) so it can recognise your browser. If you later choose Reject, we remove those cookies and stop sending anything further. Meta’s own use of this information is covered by Meta’s privacy policy.
Booking enquiries
When you send an enquiry we store what you enter — your name, email address, any phone number, dates, room, number of guests and message — so that we can reply and arrange your stay. It is emailed to us and kept in our booking records. We use it only to respond to you and look after your stay; we do not sell it or pass it to advertisers.
Cookies and storage we always use
- Your cookie choice, saved in your browser’s local storage, so the website remembers your answer.
- A sign-in cookie, only for our own staff when they use the site’s management pages. Visitors never receive it.
Other services on this website
- Google Maps shows our location and those of nearby attractions. When a map loads, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies.
- Google Fonts supplies the typefaces, so Google receives your IP address when the page loads.
- Links out to WhatsApp, Booking.com, TripAdvisor, Instagram and Facebook take you to those services, whose own privacy policies then apply.
