Need to Know

Is breakfast included in the room rate?

Yes! A full Sri Lankan breakfast is included with every room. Expect freshly made hoppers, string hoppers, pol sambol, dhal curry, fresh fruit, and local tea or coffee. We also accommodate dietary requirements — please let us know in advance.

What is the difference between the Wood Cabins and the AC Cabin?

The Wood Cabins (No.4 and No.5) are fan-cooled rustic retreats with natural timber interiors — perfect for those who want an authentic nature experience. The Air-Condition Cabin offers the same cabin charm but with air conditioning for a cooler night's sleep. The Deluxe Room is our most polished, fully air-conditioned accommodation.

Can you arrange safari tours and transfers?

Absolutely. We have trusted partnerships with local safari operators and can arrange jeep safaris to Minneriya, Kaudulla, and other parks, as well as transfers to Sigiriya, Dambulla, and Polonnaruwa. We recommend booking 24 hours in advance.

What is the best time of year to visit Habarana?

The dry season from May to September is ideal for wildlife viewing, especially the famous elephant gathering at Minneriya (June–September). December to April is also pleasant. The area is accessible year-round.

Do you accept children and families?

We absolutely welcome families! Children of all ages are welcome. Our Garden Cottage for 3 and Cottage for 2 are ideal for families. Extra beds and cots are available on request.

What payment methods do you accept?

Advance payment is required to confirm your booking. We accept cash (LKR and USD) and bank transfers. All rates are on Bed & Breakfast basis and subject to change without prior notice. Direct bookings always receive the best available rate.

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival may incur charges. We recommend contacting us as early as possible if your plans change — we will always try to find a fair arrangement. Check-in is 2:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM.

Are meals available beyond breakfast?

Yes. Lunch (LKR 1,000/person) includes Chicken, Fish, 5 Vegetables, Papadam and Chutney. Dinner (LKR 1,250/person) — choose from String Hoppers, Fried Noodles, Kotthu or Pasta. We also offer BBQ Campfire evenings at LKR 4,000/person. All meals are prepared fresh with local ingredients and served with care.
